major lymphnode of the animal body...

a.)Internal lymph nodes
these are found in the body cavities or deep in the muscles,the major once are
  • popleteal lymphnodes,which is found in  between semitendinous and biceps femoris
  • mesenteric lymph nodes, found in the mesentery
  • hepatic lymphnodes,found in the hilus of the liver
  • splenic lymph nodes,deans of spleen
  • left and right bronchial lymphnodes,found at bifurcation of the trachea into left and right bronchi
  • mediasternal lymph nodes,found along the trachea and oesophagus
b.)External/superficial lymphnodes
  • mandibular lymph node,usually are two in nuclear one on each side they are found at the angle of the mandible between sternocephalicus muscles and the ventral part of the mandibular salivary gland.
  • parotid lymphnode,found below the root of the ears lying on the posterior part of the masseter muscle and partially covered by the dorsally end of the parotid salivary gland.
  • prescapula lymphnodes,found at the anterior border of the scapula above the sholder joint.
  • prefemoral/precrural lymphnodes,found along the stifle joint on the aponeurosis of the obliquus abdominis externus
  • superficial inguinal lymphnodes,this differ in two sexes *in bull they are situated below the prepubic tendon and in narrow interfemoral space.*in cow they are situated above the posterior border of the base of the mammary glands.
